The best part about the saints loss to the buccaneers is it almost guarantees that the saints don’t win the division now, so it’ll be a decent pick for sure. To win the division still, the saints almost gotta win out and hope the buccaneers only win 1/5 remaining games just to get a shot and I don’t think the saints win against the eagles or browns (but anything can happen, it’s football).

It’s not an exact science but based on the 2022 nfl draft, this is where the eagles would pick based on how the saints do the last 4 games:

If saints go 4-0
Possible chance at division title which means the pick would be #19, if not a division title, pick could be between #12-14

If saints go 3-1
Very slim chance at division title so could be #19, if not then it would be somewhere between #8-11

If saints go 2-2 (most likely scenario based on remaining schedule in my opinion)
Pick #7

If saints go 1-3
Pick #6

If saints go 0-4
Somewhere between #3-5

It frigen sucks the teams in front of us right now mostly don't need to take QB and are threats to taking the top dlinemen.

But there's 4 potentially really intriguing CBs this year in first round who are promising. If we can land one of them plus that Georgia tackle, oh man.

If the top DLs are gone and some of the top QBs start to slide, I can definitely see howie trading back a few picks while adding a 1st in 2024 and maybe a 2nd or 3rd in 2023

Just think about if the eagles get pick #5. All the top DLs are gone and all but 1 QB are still on the board. I think I’d definitely trade back to like 9 or 10 or something. That might add two first round pick if a bidding war starts

Oh Jalen carter is my #1 guy right now. I’d love to get him but I’m just saying if he and the other top 2-3 DL are gone, trade back a few picks and collect a future 1st or 2

IF the Saints pick fall between 6-10 I would inquire Carolina about trading that pick for Burns or Horn. Probably not realistic but who knows

They won't. Their team just needs a QB and a couple olinemen.
Other than that their defensive studs are young still. I'd do it in a heartbeat. But they already turned down multiple firsts for burns

The close wins by the saints are so frustrating. That could be a top 3 pick if a few plays go against them.

The falcons game was, in my opinion, the most winnable game remaining for the saints so hopefully they have a tough time from here on out
