2021 Offseason + Draft Discussion

Next season the Eagles have a "projected" 12 picks in the draft. More then likely, they won't be using them all. They have plenty of ammo to upgrade their roster in bulk.

This year....with their selections being limited I could see them moving back in the first round to pick up a couple additional picks. Also, because of the amount of picks in hand next season, I won't be surprised if Howie goes off script one time and selects Bijan Robinson in the first round. The offense could be pretty damn scary with that guy in the backfield. LB and S should be their next positions of focus in the draft.

I think it's smoke screen the whole Bijon thing and seeing some Philly reporters slowly starting to become believers in Bijon makes it seem so too.
We thought last year would finally be the year they'd take LB and they went DT.

Not that I'd fully complain but It'd probably be the most shocking thing I'd have ever seen as a fan if we took him first round

Yeah, but that LB we wanted in the first round fell to us in round 3! Haha

I think we should trade back to the late teens or early 20s and grab some extra capital. I feel like Branch will be available late in the teens. He would be a good grab (essentially get a 2024 1st, maybe a third+ and Branch for our 10th pick this year). If Bijon is there at 25-30 we should either move up to grab him or pick him at our spot. That would crowd that RB room tho with Scott, Gainwell, and Penny (Penny will be great if he stays healthy). I'd still love to grab Njigba and really fill out our WR corps...lol We may even go OL at 10 if someone the eagles love is there. Cornerback is still an area we need to get some youth in also. lol

Howie's filled alot of "holes" made by free agency. It makes me think if he goes BPA at #10 or trades back a few spots for more picks.

DL and OL isn't a flashy pick high in the draft, but it's been the Eagles MO since Andy....and both lines needs depth. I think they're gonna address both lines in round 1.

There's a rumor out there that the Vikings want to trade up to grab a QB of the future. They are looking at the Eagles. It would likely cost them at least their 1st this year, and next year with a 3rd or so. That's the kind of move I'd expect the eagles to make.

A perfect 1st for me....would be Nolan Smith (after a small trade back to say NE) and either Bryan Bresee or Brian Branch at 30....it adds a young blue chip DE and adds young blue chip at DT or S to this defense.

I'm afraid of how much say Desai has on the personnel being selected in the draft.

Who thinks we end up actually picking at 10 and 30? I don't think we pick at either unless Carter is there at 10. I could see us picking at 30 if Branch is there, unless we trade for Buddha Baker.
