Red Wings hire Nick Lidstrom as VP of Hockey Operations

The Detroit Red Wings have hired Nicklas Lidstrom to serve as a vice president of hockey operations.
Lidstrom is one of the best players in Detroit Red Wings history and one of the top defensemen to ever play in the NHL. He won four Stanley Cup championships with Detroit and claimed the Norris Trophy seven times. He excelled offensively throughout his career with 264 goals and 1,142 points in 1,564 games. He'll be reunited with another former Red Wings great, Steve Yzerman, who is serving as Detroit's general manager.

no clue what this means, but I wonder if bringing back all the amazing Wings from the 90s/2000s era can somehow help the Wings in the 2020s be competent
