MLB and Players agree to universal DH and draft lottery

Manfred: "We've agreed to a universal designated hitter and eliminated draft pick compensation."

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

I, for one, am glad the universal DH is here. Not a fan of the draft lottery though.

I'm good with both, more so the former. I stubbornly was against a DH in the NL for years but the 2020 season helped me change my mind (as did Bumgarner's tenure as a Giant coming to an end). Getting rid of the pitcher's spot in the lineup will make it so the end of the lineup isn't such an inevitable dead-end. It'll also allow more one dimensional hitters to be able to contribute without bringing down the team's defense.

Good no need to see pitchers hit anymore most them don't care and shouldn't be in that position to begin with.

Iím in the minority here, but DH baseball is boring. Iíd rather a manager have to work around the pitcherís spot than watch a .238 hitter get the golden sombrero.
