Sounds like they are setting it up to have Wheeler for game 6 starter if it goes 6.

Harry, I grew up with the phillies and learned the game by your voice. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, you'll never be "outta here" in our hearts!

This team is possibly setup to be one of the better teams next year. They have some needs to fill in the offseason.

1.) A competent fielding/hitting first baseman. Rhys Hoskins was seen as a good player on a bad/middling team. Now that the talent is there on the team he's a the not good enough.
2.) One or Two solid starters. I'm tired of seeing "Bullpen" games. Get yourself a solid 4 and 5 starter so we don't have to thin out our bullpen every 5th game.
3.) One or two more solid bullpen arms. Robertson will probably be gone. Hand will definitely be gone.
4.) Develop our minor league system to give us younger/cheaper talent in the pipeline. Can't rely on buy buy buy every season.
5.) Contact hitters - there are WAYYYY too many strike outs in this lineup. Probably struck out damn near 50% of the time in the World Series. Unacceptable. Too many called 3rd strikes. No plate awareness or discipline for far too many guys. Bryson Stott was one of the few players that battled almost every at bat he had. He didn't get on too much during the Series, but he made the pitchers work.

I know not everything will be accomplished in one offseason, but little by little the team will get to the next level.

I think we save the hosKins money with hall. I think he can provide similar numbers and maybe a tick better defense. Get trea. Allow griff to take 5th spot and sign elfin back with the agreement that any dl stint will lead to bullpen role. We have decent depth almost ready. Let johan Rojas and marsh platoon in center. Maton is fine as cheap super utility. Bullpen is always a crapshoot. I love Dominguez as closer and coonrod/brogdon in middle innings role. Alvarado is a wildcard. Is he the late season guy or the World Series collapsing guy?
