    Concerned Yet?

    Seager to Texas for $325M.

Lots of options coming off the table and I am not seeing Yanks linked to anyone.

    Is anyone else concerned?

    Thank god.

    Save that money Hal!
We’re pointing out that these statistics breed false narratives, and we value the truth. This isn’t about replacing old numbers with new numbers, or attempting to dissuade anyone from enjoying the aesthetics of the game. It is simply about telling the average fan about the reality of what actually happened on the field. The “Holy Trinity” of baseball statistics fail at this most basic task, and so they are not worth deifying any longer. - Dave Cameron

It's a long term plan and strategy. When rivals are choking on these long term contracts Hal will have been sitting on a war chest waiting for the right moment to pounce. He'll pick up Verlander and Scherzer for pennies on the dollar. He will also make a stealth steal of Pujols and Yadier Molina. To round out the core he locks up Rich Hill for a song. The man is brilliant, George would be proud!

I'm only concerned if Hal does a knee jerk reaction and pays Correa, who I don't want, the same way he did for Ellsbury.

hal would not pay correa if the asking price was only 200 million. hal has decided not to go over the cap again..

I would love to know what the Rangers are doing. They are obviously in the beginning stages of rebuilding and gave 560 million dollars to 3 players? Why? Guess they don't want an empty new ballpark but it doesn't make much sense. Weird to set the market for position players when you're not even a competitive team either.

Dont think it changes anything for the Yankees though. Still think they'll get one of Correa, Baez, or Story.

If that's the case, then I hope it is Story.

I hope so. They need several significant signings and or trades to have a productive offseason, and Correa is the best player out there. I wanted Seager, but that ship has passed, so hopefully its Correa and two-three more significant players.

I doubt they go after a SS this offseason unless one of them accepts a 1 year deal. They will sign Rizzo, trade for a SP then sit tight.

I agree about SS unless it' Marte
I think if Marte could be had for the right price, they would grab him. I think if they can get Reynolds, they will.
I don't even know if they trade for a pitcher. Cole, Tallion, Sevy, Monty, Gil with Schmidt, Waldichuck, King... all waiting.
