I mean with all these writers confirming the deal, they can't all be wrong, right?

You know it took every last dollar to get Scherzer here but whatever.

The Mets have a dangerous duo at the top now. But Iím happy we donít have to face Scherzer in the playoffs anymore.

268 million dollars spent on payroll for 2022 and the Mets still plan on adding but hey, yeah, I wouldn't worry about the Mets at all. Richest owner in MLB too. Braves fans are adorable.

Well history tells us not to worry about the Mets. You made the playoffs a total of 6 times (including a wildcard game loss), and never more than 2 years in a row, since 1986! You donít have the pedigree.

Yeah coming from the team that won 14 straight division titles and had one championship to show for it. Pedigree doesn't mean ****. How did the pedigree argument work for the Dodgers and Giants in the last decade btw? Or the Red Sox since 2003? Different era dude. This team isn't run by the Wilpons anymore. Good for you winning the title last year but your sarcasm can't be more thinly veiled.

But those 14 division titles were fun as hell, and so were the last 4. beats being out of contention by mid August. Congratulations on landing Scherzer. A competitive Mets team is good for the NL and for baseball.

The Braves are amazing and we are making steps to hopefully get in their level. This doesn't guarantee us anything, but it is a step in the right direction
