But you know what would stop that from happening? Strict gun control, which has shown to drop gun violence rates and mass shootings. Weird, huh?
Once again you blame republicans for this «*strict gun control*» not happening while Democrats had control of house, senate and presidency and didn’t pass this so called strict gun control

    Why?

Are you serious? The answer is because it requires 60 votes in the Senate. Did the Democrats have 60 votes in the Senate?...

If he said it a fourth time, would that have possibly made it true?

They could have nuked the filibuster if they cared so much about it

They needed 50 people to agree to nuke the filibuster. Did they have 50 people who supported nuking the filibuster?

They had enough democratic senators in the senate to be able to do it.

    So no….

Stop trying to blame the people that want to enact gun laws and start blaming the people that don’t.

You know how they could have been able to enact safer gun laws? If you and your ilk supported enacting safer gun laws.

It’s actually insane to blame people for not passing a law when you’re the one blocking the law from being passed.

It’s like slashing someone’s tires and then blaming them for being late to work. YOU were the reason they couldn’t get to work on time…

You want it so bad that even though you had enough votes to pass it you would just blame the other side

    A. We just went over this, no they did not have the votes to pass it.

    B. The reason they didn't have the votes to pass the law is that you and your ilk refused to vote for it.

    C. Yes, I am blaming the people that would not vote for it for not voting for it. What a novel concept...

    D. Do you support gun control legislation?

If they would have their own party for a bill and the nuclear option than yes, they would have the votes for it. Many Democrats were calling for it but Manchin wouldn’t do it who is a democrat.

So they didn’t have the votes for it. You know what would have made it way easier instead of trying to convince Manchin to exercise the nuclear option and eliminate the filibuster? If you guys had voted for the bill.

Again, the people who are most responsible for the bill not passing are those who oppose it. Stop trying to blame others when you’re the one who opposes it.

If it is gridlock within the party that stops a bill from passing, nope. It's on the party. They needed Manchin and Sinema's votes and didn't get them. Sinema is an independent now, haha, and Manchin might turn fulling republican by his next election run. Don't downplay their role in stopping Biden's agenda from being passed. In its original form, it was very appealing to the DNC's base. They backstabbed their own party and it's base.

There is opposition to gun control from elected Dems. representing republican districts.
