Charlie Morton threw 10 pitches on a broken leg, sat down for a half-inning, threw six more pitches, the last two of which were a 96-mph fastball and 80-mph curveball to strike out Jose Altuve.

So, yeah, Charlie Morton threw 16 pitches pushing off the mound with a broken leg.

    Insane.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Surprised the Braves won. Hopefully Morton injury doesnt decide the series here.

They might be able to cover up this short-coming in a short series like this, but had it occurred earlier in the playoffs, it would have been a huge problem.

As far as offenses go, it’s not even close. The 2006 Cardinals would run circles around this Braves team. Pujols was twice as good as Freeman and Riley is probably equivalent to Rolen. Guys like Albies and Swanson are okay players but outside of that group, the rest of their team sucks.

This braves team is way better than the 06 cardinals. It's not particularly close.

Look at the production they are getting from their OF and their relievers vs what the Cards had. I would much rather have the Braves starters too.

Max wasn't even on that team yet, he had just been drafted by the DBacks that year. And Verlander had a 4 rWAR at that point.

Miguel Cabrerra wasn't even on that team yet, he was still with the Marlins.
