Yeah it’s not so much about wanting to trade Green, because I ****ing love him. If you get Toppin you fill our biggest hole that we failed to address. You use Green because he has trade value, and Toppin would take most of his minutes. DJJ and Green do similar things, so with Toppin getting a lot of minutes, DJJ is perfect for the few left over for him. It just makes us a better team. You can use Toppin at the 4 and 5 at times. Like right now with no Drummond, giving Toppin some 5 minutes would be more functional then anything else we can throw out there.

Some team is going to overpay for him. Hope it’s not the Bulls. Whatever package it takes to get him will leave the roster bare and KD has never proven he can be that dude to carry a team single handed

I feel like we always talk ourselves out of the top players for fear that we would give up too many assets but then are content with keeping those assets and remaining ***. I actually think NJ is at a disadvantage, they may want change and new identity with young kids.

It would come down to price. He’s 34 years old and his last 3 seasons has played 0, 35, and 55 games. For a team that has a lot of guys who consistently miss time, he’d fit right in. He hasn’t been on a relevant playoff team since GS four years ago. Sure he made the playoffs with the Nets, but they were never going anywhere and didn’t.

He’d also be really difficult to root for. He’s kind of a diva and annoying in general, but I don’t think he’s that much more valuable than DeRozan at this point of their careers. Sure, he’s the better player overall, but how big is the impact? Likely minimal, IMO. I would be pretty surprised if KD plays 60 games this season. And it wouldn’t be a 1 for 1 swap…the Bulls would need to give up Williams and likely one of Vuc/LaVine…maybe even Coby plus picks. They would have to gut the whole team for a guy that’s proven he can’t carry a team.

He couldn't rein in Kyrie, he couldn't let Harden run the offense (only time when they could gel and dominate overall), he just isn't it.


Sure he can be part of a championship team and win a finals mvp. But **** no, don't give up this teams future for this ***** to come here and not lead the locker room.

Anyone besides Vuc, Derozan or Lavine. Think lakers would only be interested in Lavine from those 3 anyway

We are a veteran team and so we are built to win now, which means we should be active in the trade market.

Our young core is Coby, Patrick and Ayo. I absolutely try to keep Ayo. Coby and Patrick I am ok with moving. While Coby can score, he doesn’t have basketball IQ and I’m not sure that is something you can learn. Patrick has potential but, its unrealized potential.

Our FO should take done long looks at some trades that have been made recently.

Valanciunas for 2 1sts’s and eating some bad contracts. Maybe try to move Vuc for a similar deal.

Derozan can probably get us some fire.

Lavine can definitely get us at least 2 1st rounders imo.

We need to look at where we are and realize we aren’t gonna do **** with these 3. No matter how we build, these 3 won’t be champions imo. Get what we can asap.
