Not sure why much stock was put into TBJ to begin with. What part of his game made anyone think he wouldnít be a lower tier JAG? Heís a solid guy off the bench but not someone you should count on.

He had a pretty good year in his second season as a 20 year old thinking he would have been a good bench player isnít really crazy thinking.

Troy Brown Jr. is dealing with a mouth issue thatís prevented him from eating. I think we need to cut him a little slack for now.

Maybe, but his play looks like he will forever just be a dude who has occasional good games but for the most part is just there to spell minutes.

What is the ETA on Coby's return? Can't be too long I wouldn't think.

I wonder if we see more Derrick Jones and less Troy Brown today? Maybe a small in season competition to see who brings more to the table for us. Our bench definitely didn't impress Wednesday.

Until Coby gets back, I think a lot of our scoring is going to have to come from our starters. Billy D did a good job of making sure that we had one of our 3 go to scorers in at all time. For instance he subbed out Ball and Derozan first, then when they subbed Vuc and Lavine, Derozan replaced Lavine. Then in the 2nd Q when we subbed out Derozan for Dosumnu, they brought Vuc back in. We will probably never see a lineup without Lavine, Derozan or Vuc on the floor unless it's mop up duty.

I almost feel like maybe we would be better off early on starting Green over Pat, at least until Pat's able to give us his full minutes load. That way we have Caruso and Pat coming off the bench, giving Pat a little more freedom to operate some offense, rather then be a 5th wheel with Ball/Lavine/Derozan/Vuc. With those 4 dominating the ball, having a specialist like Green won't really hurt the offense. Adding Pat to the 2nd unit will actually benefit that units offense as well as his own offense.

If our Starters are Ball/Lavine/Derozan/Green/Vuc & our 2nd Unit is Caruso/(TBJ or DJJ)/Pat/Alize, I think we function better. When Coby gets back, shift Pat back to the starting 5, since Green would be a nice defense 1st compliment with Coby's offense 1st style.

Thing I'm watching in this next game is will some of the guys start hitting shots that weren't falling last game. The team missed so many shots, we would have had a nice lead if half of those went in. Vuc is in an obvious slump, but he may have to shoot out of it. I wonder a bit if his shot is off because he and others have been working hard on the defensive side. May just need a little more time to get in shooting rhythm.

    A few takeaways so far:

    1. Defense looks great. Let's see if they can keep up the consistency. If they can and their shots start to fall, look out.

    2. People have been saying its rebound by comittee as the bulls play fairly small. I wonder if this will be a liability as the season goes on. It also may point to an injury to vuc may be a huge setback for this team.

    3. If Zack is more comfortable now that he doesn't have to ball handle so much and can play at this level consistently, he's going to be one of the top players in the league. No, he's not durant or lebron. But, he's playing defense, disrupting passing lanes, and just playing lights out basketball. The thing that makes Zach unique, is his shooting efficiency. There are guys who play his position and have athleticism, many who are trying to have glimpses of mj or kobe in them. But, the fact that Zack can be that scoring threat driving to the basket, playing great defense, but shoot with such efficiency, this is not something you see often in players like him.

I think we will get a good idea of how we will handle being small when we play the Knicks. Randle is a big boy at the 4.

I think this team has a high ceiling , but we should not assume wins against bad teams lol

    Pistons actually impressed me though.

Much better first quarter than against Detroit.
