Do you see this Giants team winning 107 games in back to back years? Since 2017 the dodgers have won 104 games, 92 games (in a season where nearly everything went wrong and they underperformed their pythag by 10 wins) 106 games, 43 (in the covid year with a .713 winning percentage, their best ever), followed by 106 this yer (with tons of **** going wrong)

Do you really think the giants can repeat 107 wins, because the dodgers will probably win 100+ again.

Odds are they will not. Pretty much everyone had career years for the Giants. Dodgers lost 4-5 guys in the regular season for 2+ months if not longer. You guys lost Crawford and Belt for like 2-3 weeks. We lost May for the whole season, Seager, Kershaw for 2+ months, Bauer got suspended, Betts was out for multiple weeks. You guys are acting like you ran away with the division. Dodgers are better suited to win the division than the Giants are even with all the free agents on the Dodgers side. Can lightning strike twice in back to back years for the Giants? I wouldn't bet on it.
Lofl you obviously weren't paying very close attention if you think "Crawford and Belt for like 2-3 weeks" were the only significant injuries to the '21 Giants.

....and here you were claiming Dodgers fans weren't full of excuses just within the last few hours.

I don't recall the Braves going through a rebuild.

What a silly argument. No one needs to win 107 games to succeed in the playoffs.

what other significant injuries did the Giants have? I was just pointing that it took career years from Crawford, Belt, Posey and Dodgers losing key players for months and you guys still only won the division by 1 game. Or don't tell me losing Tony Watson is like losing Chapman.

Good example, yes. They won three championships in five years, despite not winning 107 games in any of those seasons.

-Belt missed nearly two months, not two weeks

    -Longoria missed nearly three months

    -LaStella missed three months

    -Cueto missed over two months

-Webb, Wood, and Ruf each missed over a month

-Wade, McGee, DeScalafini, Solano, and Flores each missed over 20 games

    Keep *not* making excuses though.

Exactly. We had to go through four rounds of the playoffs in order to win, which is more difficult. So we definitely earned it.

25 years from now when you're still on a drought, you'll still bragging about it and trying to make it fit your narratives in your arguments. Just like Vin Scully always says, "what have you done for me lately?"

The only Dodger fan making excuses is Big Moves03 over in the Dodgers forum. He's obnoxious.

The timeframe is irrelevant. 107 wins are not necessary to succeed in the playoffs.

3 in 5 will always trump *1 in 33 regardless.
