Im betting on a surprising close game. Picturing a game similar to the one where rodgers beat us on one leg. Good D. We pull ahead. Maybe 21-6 at half. 2nd half we get complacent. Packers male adjustments at half. Rodgers Rallys back. 90% chance we loose. 10% chance our rok plays special enough to win despite poor coaching letting the packers come back.

Anyone else get the feeling the Packers are the team that will get a TE from Philly?

Sorely needed cap space... Keep it going so we can have options down the road.
GB is as complete a team as there is in the league. I don't see what benefit Aaron has to go somewhere else, but it seems like his issues are more related to the organization and front office than the fact the org hasn't done what they can to win with him. I think his complaints in that regards are pretty weak.
Also could be he was just posturing to get a new contract that he just hasn't been given yet, but that seems unlikely since they went through the trouble of re-structuring his contract so that he'd be free to leave after this season. It's very weird. But I'm back to not believing he won't be on GB for the foreseeable future until it happens.
FWIW, the Athletic writer for the Packers says he's gone after this year, mentioned it on Hoge and Jahns podcast today. The rumors during the offseason were that he really dislikes their GM, wasn't thrilled about them drafting Jordan Love, and was kinda insulted by them not offering him an extension after last season.
I also think he looks at what Brady did in Tampa and probably believes that is repeatable for him elsewhere. I think Denver, where the rumors started, makes a lot of sense for him.
Yeah I will say, the Jordan Love pick is the only thing where I can see him having a major beef. I also agree that Denver makes a ton of sense, but I think with Brady, it's clear with NE-> TB that Brady was leaving to go to a better team. I don't know if Denver with Aaron is better than the Packers with Aaron. I think it's probably close.
I mean. Love pick asside.... They got rid of guys he liked. And no offense outside of..... Adam.... Is there another WR on that team worth a damn? I suppose cobb but he had to pull teeth to get them to make that move. **** their OL also is just late round picks too. They so soo little to support the guy
They have basically put the offense on his shoulders. Im sure its pretty insulting when you see guys like Brady get this help. You look at The Cards getting AJ green... 2nd round rok. Trading for ertz. All on top of having one of the best wrs in the game. Even big ben gets weapons constantly.
I just think its insulting. You had the chance last year to make a push for the superbowl. You instead use a first on a QB who won't play. A 2nd on a 3rd string RB. And then make no move at the deadline like... Trading for ertz..... Trading for Green or will fuller.
These moves help move the needle. Instead they still running out valdez scantling.

Who did they let go that was in their prime and that did anything after they left GB? I think Rodgers being mad about Jordy Nelson, Julius Peppers, and the rest of the over the hill gang is a pretty dumb argument on him. I think it's all about Jordan Love.
He's got a top 5 WR in the game and a top 5 LT. Their starting RT, Elgton Jenkins is a 2nd round pick from 3 years ago, and while I haven't heard much about him, you don't hear much about most o-linemen, and he's greated out well above average per PFF each year since he got picked. Josh Myers is a 2nd round rookie C, and one of the best in the class. They just drafted Amari Rodgers too. His entire tenure with GB he's had a mostly great offensive line. That's more than most QBs get when they're making top dollar.
Idk I'm pretty much convinced he's just butthurt about the Jordan Love pick and doesn't want that shadow lurking over him. He doesn't want the Packers to be in a position to cut/bench him the second he starts to show signs of regression. Which makes plenty of sense. It also makes sense that he wouldn't want to come out and say it's about Jordan Love because... He's still the guy's teammate. And it's not Jordan Love's fault the Packers took him. It would also come across much more selfish if he said it was all about his own job security/personal beef so he said it was about all that other crap.
