If Hal will.shell out the money I'd be thrilled with Seager. But is it smart to pay him as a SS, when they plan on him switching positions?
I love the skill.set Peraza has. I am sick of having bad defense at SS, his plus plus speed and ability to steal bags helps alot.
Volleyball, Peraza and Seager would be a darn good infield on both sides of the ball.
based on last year they were the best team in baseball but i did not follow them until recently and did not know the issues they had with the team..
The Dodgers have Turner who's natural position is SS. They also have multiple players they want.to resign in Max, Kershaw, Jansen. With Turner being much cheaper and better defender, plus they have a couple young middle infielders that should be ready. Even the Dodgers don't have the money to resign all of them, especially if they can't get out of the Bauer deal.
The Giants actually won that division and had the most wins of any team. Pretty sure they were the best team in the regular season last yr.
why cant the yankees spend big sign freeman... he would be so great as a yankee..

Maybe he won't get the 31M he's been making but the Dodgers aren't going to let him go. They have close to 100m tied up in Max, Kershaw and Bauer. They've already said they want Kershaw and Max back and if they can't void Bauers contract they aren't going to have the money to bring everyone back
Yanks 2022 rotation
1. Cole
2. Mad Max
3. Verlander
4. Sevy
5. Monty

why in the world would he leave ATL, they have a great core and are probably going to the WS this yr. He's been with the Braves his entire career, he's their new Chipper Jones.
If he leaves ATL, huge if IMO, he's probably looking to go back to Cali where he's from
The Padres really wanted a big LHed bat at the deadline and tried to get Gallo. They also would love to move away from Hosner, maybe they make him a huge offer
Max doesn't want to play in NY for either team so thats not happening. Verlander is going to be 38-39 and is coming off TJS. Hal isn't going to spend 50-60 M to get those 2 guys even if it was a possibility
Rumors are that Cleveland will be looking to shop Bieber, if there was ever a pitcher to spend big spec capitol on it's Bieber. If you could build a package around Peraza, Gil and Schmidt i think they would have to consider that strongly
For me it boils down to if it’s easier to sign a bat or a pitcher. This year it’s much easier to sign an impact bat, so I think you do that and trade for the pitcher. Essentially, would you rather trade for Bieber and sign Seager or trade for Marte and sign Ray. Just using those other players as examples, obviously you could pencil others in there.
Would you trade German and a lottery ticket for Buxton? Trade simulator says it works thanks to his injury history. When he’s healthy he’s one of the best CF in the game
