This is funny seeing some off the meltdowns here. Honesty which deal so far have the Yankees made a mistake not matching. The Max S deal is beyond crazy and some are applauding it. Verlander no thanks not 2 yrs 50m. Patience is in short supply here and not even December.

Not sure what is crazy about the Scherzer deal. That is a solid deal to get an elite pitcher on such a short deal. Really reduces the risk.

It's not crazy but it also carries plenty of risk. That amount of money through a guy's age 40 season is most definitely a concern, even if Scherzer seems like a guy that doesn't age like a normal human being.
