Was looking at the numbers of our departed core players and Bryant was pretty mediocre with the giants, I wonder what kind of contract he gets this offseason. If he's around 125 mill we should jump on it.

Fans still love the guy and he's the only player worth a damn at 3rd this or next offseason. I remember that one guy on this board was really whiny because Bryant had a hot first week with the Giants.

Bryant put up 3.6 fWAR. It's far from his MVP numbers but I would be shocked if he doesn't end up around 6/150. Maybe 7/175 if Boras leverages what Springer got when he was a year older.

6 yr 150 mill is still good imo, think that would be too rich for Ricketts liking tho

It's probably not rich enough for Bryant. The Cubs suck. 6/150 is probably market value, maybe less. The Cubs will have to overpay to bring him back.

I would love to see Bryzzo back in town, but I dont think either one will return or even get an offer close to making it a possibility.

Padres are hinting towards a run at Stroman even though they dont really have an opening in their rotation.

I wonder what they would want for someone like Snell who had an overall down year but picked it up in the 2nd half.

Bryant is not coming back. SF will most likely retain him. Baez is a dbag glad heís gone .. Rizzo I hope comes back, but Frank the tank played his way into discussion for 1B next season. Should be a very interesting, hopefully VERY active off season.

Agree. He's probably peaked but is still a good player. His versatility should bump his value a bit. The game has changed the last few years and it probably has affected his BA like a lot of other players.

Watched the whole Hoyer press conference yesterday. Avoided most specifics as usual but said they'd be active in FA and acquiring better starting pitching is #1 priority. Wouldn't mention anything about payroll for "strategic reasons".
