OrÖ. Maybe Kimbrel isnít quite as good as everyone thought. It wasnít that long ago, that he was getting lit up like a Christmas tree. Then one condensed season of central division opponents and a half season this year and he is the best pitcher in baseball?

When you are called in to pitch, you pitch. Itís what he is paid to do.

And tlr's handling of the BP this series has been horrendous . Dude is getting straight up made fun of during the broadcast lol

Imo Kimbrel's struggles are likely largely due to being misused when he came here? He was told he was going to be alternating closing. That was a lie that's how you ruin your rep and players don't want to come here. That's how it works in all sports too.

He was forced to be setup only despite having a significantly better season than Hendricks to that point, his mechanics ultimately got out of wack; and they won't have a prayer of being fixed until the offseason

Dude, you canít get used as an alternating closer when you repeatedly give up runs. Donít blame the usage. Itís him. Plain and simple.

And I fully support using Crochet Vs Alvarez. He made Alvarez look human thursday. Alvarez worked the **** out of the 2nd AB and coaxed a walk. Itís not like Crichet went in there and got blown up. That was bummer and Kimbrel

Itís funny, Hahnís dad told him to tell Kimbrel to stop throwing Curveballs to leftyís. What did Kimbrel throw in that bomb? Shoulda told him

It's all mechanics. He lost his rhythm and threw his mechanics off kilter, and that takes work to fix.

He was having a historic season. A bad outing or two doesn't excuse that he should've been closing as soon as he came on board - or every other as promised.

The Sox won 93 games because they're a 105 win talent team. Injuries, whatever, they're still stacked.

The entire time the excuse was , well, TLR knows how to win in the playoffs.

If they lose in the first round everyone failed. Including TLR

Of course everyone will get credit for the failure. But are you suggesting that Tony should get canned if we lose?

I just always preferred the top of the market team quick trigger mentality after a disappointing season. But it will never happen with TLR he will be allowed 5o stay until he feels like it

Tlr did a lot better with the locker room than I thought they would

But moving on to the offseason.

    - I think Engel should get a shot at RF, Vaughn LF and Eloy DH

-need more bullpen depth in case Kimbrel doesn't turn it around

Need to spend big on 2 SP . Don't depend on Kopech or Crochet. Spend the money and be ready to sit the odd man out.

    You guys are right.

Sunday should be an amazing experience too, blackout with the South side Sox unis!!!

I remember dabears34 asked earlier if it has been confirmed Cease is going.

I hope they put Rodon out there tomorrow for the must win

I agree. The blame for these losses is on Lynn, Gio and our bullpen, not LaRussa.
Cease and Rodon could get us back in this thing, but yea, that is a long shot.

20/20 hindsight - I wish the Sox had traded for Kris Bryant for RF and a second baseman that could hit.
Instead Hahn added Kimbrel, C Hernandez, and Tepera. Next season Sox need to add a genuine Ace that can get us a Game One win in the play-offs.

Dude knows Kimbrel is not a setup guy yet continues to use him that way. Nice. And not pitching Kopech yesterday was dunce level stuff.

Don't know why I thought the Sox were wearing the south side Sox unis for the blackout at home. Just makes too much sense. Damn!
