I think somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2 gets them into the playoffs.

    Boone on Sevy
"I will use him every day if we need to do that. I will pitch him 2 innings a day, 5 days in a row. He's ready. It's how I roll. If I need to overuse guys. I will. My job is on the line"

Guy has zero game feel/feel for his pitching staff. Regardless of their stats.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

No, it was sarcasm and I was trying to go along with kinks sense of humor, sprinkled in with some truth.

    Another one

"I don't care what people say. I will have him throw 300 pitches by the end of the season if I need him to save my job. He's a different type of closer who needs to get the biggest save ever. My job"

I have to admit it but in a one and done Wild Card game Iíd take Cortes Jr over Cole in a heartbeat.

He has better overall numbers than Cole. And he is not under the pressure of a contract that pays him $36 million per season.

So if we somehow manage to get in I hope we use Cortes.

    Thankfully it worked out.

But, to tell something about Boone

Brings in Chad Green whose been hurt by the long ball lately, and given up 14 this year, which is a career high for him.

To face the hitter with the most home runs, on the rangers.

    I can't. I don't get it.

    Saw this gem on Twitter.

Well you and the other one who only seems to post during losses. Trolls do things like that.

Nestor Cortes: First Yankee LHP with 90+ strikeouts and an ERA below 3.00 through his first 20 games of a season since CC Sabathia in 2011.

    - Yankees stats
