WC predictions, who's in and who's out?

Money meet mouth. Who do you like and why?

Who do you think gets the WC.
    Right now

Jays have the first one and lead the Yankees and sox by 1 game
Yankees and sox, are tied for the second
Mariners are 2 back from the Sox and Yankees
As are 2.5 back from the Sox and Yankees

1-Jays schedule is tricky. 5 vs the Rays, 3 vs the Yankees, 3 vs the Os but 6 vs the Twins. As we saw, the Twins can hit. That's a tough matchup for the Jays.

2-Red sox- 2 vs the Ms, 3 vs the Yankees. Then 2 vs Mets, 6 vs the Os and 3 vs the Nats

3- Yankees have 3 vs Os, 3 vs the tribe and 3 vs the rangers but finish with 9 vs the sox, jays and rays

4- The Ms have 2 vs the sox, 7 vs the As but 9 vs the Royals and Angels

5- As have 3 vs the royals, 3 vs the rangers then 4 vs the Ms, 3 vs the Astros, 3 vs the Ms and 3 vs the Astros.

1- I think Oakland is toast. That schedule is nasty
2- I think the Jays slow down and lose ground. I think the Twins make them work. But I think they do enough to get in
3- I think the Sox have a really soft schedule, they are in
4- I think the Yankees stay inconsistent and miss out
5- I think the Ms end up getting past the Yankees but fall short

    Final WC

    1- Jays
    2-Sox
    3 Ms
    4-Yankees
    5-As

From that other thread someone created.

Imo they have to clean up in 9, I'm guessing sweep against O's, Texas and Cleveland. Hope for series wins against Jays, Sox and Rays. 15 of 18? Is it realistic? Imo it's possible but clearly all uphill.

I can see the Yankees ahead of the Sox. Those last 9 vs. Rays, Jays and Sox are crucial. Imo they can beat the Sox 2 of 3, take one from Rays and Jays. That would do it imo. No easy task, I may be dreaming, but.....

I see them going 12-6 at best. 7-2 vs the easy and 5-4 vs the tough.
The sox schedule is easy. The Jays could fall either way. If the twins bats show up, I think both Yankees and sox pass them. If the Jays keep rolling? I think it's them and the Sox

I would also, in no way be surprised if the Ms snuck in.

I would say that its either we play Toronto in Toronto or we miss the playoffs. The Jays have been 1 of the better team in BB the last month and it's hard to see them slowing down. I would say the Jays lock up the 1st WC and its between us and Boston for the other one

We finish up with 9 vs Jays Rays and Sox?
We’re 28-36 against the AL east! That is flat out terrible it’s pitiful.
Could we do it? Of course we could but judging by our past performances this year? I don’t think so.

Here’s a big positive. The Montreal Canadians barely snuck into the playoffs this year but they went all the way to the Stanley Cup finals! So there’s hope, we’ve seen what this team can do when they get hot.

Yanks are very streaky. They could get hot and that would be perfect timing. But the problem is the bullpen parts are somewhat fried. Green is tired. No Loasigia. Chapman has no command. Rotation is thin. Offense changed back to station to station. Defense was terrible. I feel we will apply pressure to Jays and Sox but fall short. Too many question marks.

if the yankees do what they should against the orioles cleveland and texas they should make the playoffs even with a tough 6 games with the sox and jays. by the time the yanks face the rays.. tampa would have clinched home field in the american elague

Yankees currently deadlocked with Jays. Sox breathing down both necks, one game back in L column. Gonna be an interesting finish.

Yep. I really think it will be the last 9 games that make or break the Yankees. If they go 5-4 or better, they will likely sneak in but if they don't? Bye bye.
I am hopeful but not confident.

    Lol
In the prospect thread we used the term, "cautious optimism"
As far as the yankees playoff chances, I have, "hopeful pessimism".

the yanks could win 6 of these 7 games winning all 7 would be nice against bad teams.. yanks lost both season series to the jays and sox so in the event of a 3 way tie.. yanks would have to win both wild games to advance to go against tampa

Anthony Garcia has 14 HR in 119 at bats this year. 75-80 grade power, and from both sides of the plate. Not many creatures like him.

You all realize that the Red Sox , jays and rays schedules between now and those last 3 series are not harder than what the Yankees schedule is right ? Not saying the Yankees are gonna miss the playoffs , I think they will get in but it will probably be close
