Yeah, I'm sure he (and others in his role) are always honest.

Sure, he could have. He didn't though but if an opportunity comes around he's pouncing (if it makes sense).

Well with a playoff appearance in what was supposed to be a losing season but turned out to be a 10-7 season, Hurts is probably going to be the starter come 2022 season in September that's probably a given

I donít believe that howie and Lurie look at Jalen hurts as a franchise QB, I just think that there simply arenít any great options to upgrade the QB position at the moment. Howie/Lurie want to build a dynasty with a young franchise QB. Easier said than done. Itíll take some time but theyíll get their guy. In the meantime I think they will stick with hurts to see if itís possible that he can get better or not and if he doesnít then I think the eagles will be very aggressive in the 2023 nfl draft (that year is considered a much better group of QBs than 2022 whether that ends up being true or not).

I can't believe he's trying to make Dak vs Wentz a thing again.
    Itís definitely weird.

    2021 NFCE Regular Season Thread

I mentioned this in the eagles forum but this offseason I think the eagles:

    *Keep Jalen hurts
    * trade one of the three 2022 1st round picks for a 2023 1st round pick
*Use the 2022 draft to fill in much needed holes on defense and OL depth
    * add offensive weapons and defense depth in free agency
*if Jalen hurts doesnít improve in 2022 then they will get aggressive in the 2023 draft and package both of their 1st round picks to move up for one of the top QBs in what is considered a much deeper QB draft.

    What's weird?

Dak has accomplished what? Cool fantasy stats against bad teams? Yay?

End of the day they are basically the same guy, underperformers without any real accomplishments to speak of. Same tier as the guys you constantly harp about.

One just has far more offensive help than the other.

Last year at this time, Howie Roseman said this about Carson Wentz:

"When you have players like that, they're like fingers on your hand. You can't imagine that they're not part of you, that they're not here. That's how we feel about Carson."

Every GM would probably want Dak over Wentz going forward. Most fans too. I guess thereís always one in the crowd though.

He's better. Marginally. How much is the talent around him that makes him better is the question.

End of the day the return on investment has been the same.
