That was poor base running for sure

The only position player slower than Justin Turner on this ballclub is Albert Pujols.

Maybe, but I'd say it's close between him and Smith, but both are definitely fast enough to score on a typical hit from second. Turner should've actually scored on that one, but he paused for like a half second on the contact instead of going

Looking at the replay, I think Smith could've caught that ball from Trea without having had to stretch out as far off the bag as he did. Just comes to show that first base isn't necessarily the easiest position to play (in my opinion, it's not). You just can't place anybody there. Joc Pederson and Shawn Green had trouble at first base and eventually moved back to their original positions.

You might be right. Definitely tough to lose on a play that should've been a routine out

This is the lineup Dodgers need to play going forward. Cody can start 1x a week and be a late defensive replacement most of the time. I would shuffle the lineup to create more of an impact earlier on.

    Betts
    Seager
    Turner
    Muncy
    T.Turner
    Pollock
    Smith
Taylor(been struggling past month or so) Cody spot start against righties but no more than 1-2 start per week.

Can we give Buehler more than 1 run tomorrow? I swear every time he pitches we give him no run support. Sucks that Pollock may be out for a while. That means Cody is going to play almost every day going forward. Would rather move Turner to CF and Muncy to 2nd and have Pujols get @ bats over Cody.

See, Turner walked home from second on a routine hit by Smith there

Buehler doesn't it have it tonight. Difference between Giants and Dodgers when runners are in scoring positions is Giants just try to put the ball in play. Dodgers are swinging for the 500+ ft HR. BTW Cody is still trash. He is closer to being out of the league than returning to an MVP level.

Buehler out here throwing fastballs down the middle. Mix it up. Giants swinging early because they know Buehler going to throw strikes to start.

****ing Giants just toying with us now. Taylor looks like he wants to up Belli and be worst than him this past month. Cody will be lucky to get 1 hit the rest of the season. Time to shuffle the lineup. Offense been struggling. Go back to what worked last year. Betts and Seager 1-2. We are going to need the Padres to help us out so we can win the division. I don't trust this offense in a win or go home game. To many times they have failed to produce.

It now looks like Bellinger has spread his hitting ineptitude virus to Max Muncy and possibly others as well.

This looks to be our third consecutive series loss against the Giants. Nothing to be proud of.

Going further back, we've lost 4 of the last 5 series against the Giants. The only series we won in that time period was a lousy 2-game sweep on June 28-29th.
