That’s really it. We have some control over our destiny here and we’re the better team. Play confident ball knowing that.

Our schedules the rest of the way are almost identical except for the last week of the season where they get the pads one last time, and we get the Brewers.

While that might look daunting, here’s some food for thought.

The Dodgers and Giants will likely be playing for the Division Crown.

The Pads will likely still be fighting for their playoff lives that weekend with at least one of the one of the Cards or the Reds still in competition if not both.

Meanwhile, we know right now that the Brewers will very likely have nothing to play for. They are almost guaranteed the second seed.

^^^^^^^^^ yup. Brewers will be setting up the rotation for the postseason. I don't think they will start their 3 stud pitchers during that series, if they do they will probably only pitch 3-4 innings max. We may be in a similar position. Wouldn't be shocked if the Brewers series they use BP games for all 3 games.

Speaking of the Brewers, I've just barely noticed that Jackie Bradley Jr. is batting .165/.238/.269 in 403 PA's this season. I've always considered him overrated (he got too much publicity from playing for the Red Sox). But his current season is just absolutely brutal (even worse than Bellinger).

It's kind of amazing where we are now given all the injuries we've had. Even now we're missing multiple key pieces but we're starting to really round into shape and are starting to click on all cylinders

Terrible performance by the offense. I expected us to win 2/3 but game I had us losing was on Sunday. Buehler hasn't looked as dominant these past 3 starts. Doesn't help that offense gives him no run support in his starts. Cy Young race is now between Burnes and Max IMO

Have to hope Giants lose tonight. Max should dominate them tomorrow and Sunday it's up in the air with Kershaw working his way back. But we need to win 2/3 no matter what.

We basically have two pitchers in the bottom of our lineup (Bellinger and the actual pitcher's spot).

Got the win today. Another great outing from Scherzer. Hopefully the Braves can take tonight’s game against the Giants and get us back to a game out.

    Bellinger has a rib fracture.

Seems like he’s gotta switch back from Flonase… leave that shot alone, Cody

I just wish Scherzer could pitch against the Giants at least twice before the regular season ends, but that's just not possible.

EDIT: Yes it's possible for him to face them once if there's a Game 163.

Padres about to fall apart just when we need them to beat the Giants. Maybe it's a mirage and it will spark them to sweeping the Giants. We can only hope.
