Their wins have come against teams equally as bad, outside of 1 win against the White Sox and 2 against the Reds. I wouldn't exactly say its fair to compare their success against a team that was making the playoffs and winning 90+ a season.

This is the greatest cubs team ever assembled in the last 30 games.

I think there's more value in playing the best guys we have and finding some hidden gems that we can use for next year than than getting 2-3 slots higher in the draft. I want them to lose but perform well, which is unrealistic i guess.

Id take Rizzo back if the NL gets the DH..
Schwindel can DH and give Rizzo plenty of days off in the field

Im trying to figured out why the Royals kept him in minors after the 16, 17, and 18 season. I figured he was just a late bloomer and all but he actually put up good numbers in the minors..

That's not a bad idea actually. I'd prefer Castellanos but i'm not quite convinced yet that Rizzo's on the regression side yet. He might be, it might be the injuries holding him back.

We could use Rizzo's lefty bat and OBP next year, and his good AB's overall.

I'd absolutely take the bet that Rizzo is the much much better player moving forward and i'd work to get him back next year. I don't think he was ever getting 20 mil per. We could always overpay him, a legend, and have it not hurt the team because the Ricketts literaly have fly into space for fun money. But also, 1B isn't a hard position to fill so if they want to throw Schwinder there next year i guess that's ok. There's more important spots to focus on in FA.
