Eh. "Sticking" is a strong word. I'd anticipate that someone like Wisdom gets optioned if he's slumping from April to mid-May or something. Think there's just gonna be a lot of roster churn with this many fringe guys.

Im talking about out of ST...
Like ive said all along, it wouldn't surprise me to see Contreras Schwindel Madrigal Happ Heyward all starting opening day and possibly Wisdom and Hoerner...

If anything we'll see a new OFer and either SS or 3B

I really believe theyre gonna focus more on pitching this offseason

I'm not saying some of those guys won't stick around, they won't be starters. Happ (LF), Heyward (RF), Schwindel (1B), Madrigal (2B), Nico (SS or CF, depending on FA), Willson (C) are likely starters, which means they would not be trying to "replace all 8 starters" just two, 3B/SS (depending what they do in FA) and CF. Guys like Duffy/Wisdom, Hermansillo and Ortega are not talented/good enough to hold down spots before FA even begin.
    Screw sabermetics.

Be cool if they can get at least 2-3 good seasons out of Schwindel..
I like his hitting approach and how he uses the whole field and with xbh power

Crazy to think they had 40 players added to the roster let alone having 40 players available to add..lol

Good. This is the kind of record I want them to set when they're bad. Roster churn is a good thing for a rebuilding team.

The only guy with a shot to be a starter on next year's team is Schwindel.
Wisdom is a guy that probably gets a roster spot because of team control and his past season. I see a potential valuable bench bat due to his defense and power. We could definetly upgrade there and he shouldnt stand in the way of any FA signings but hes earned a shot at competing for the job in ST. Schwindel as well imo, mostly due to the fact that he plays 1B. Duffy and Martini suck and can go away.

I would not guarantee him a spot but he's earn the right to compete for a spot on the team.

Duffy's fine, especially if you have guys with swing-and-miss that you want to complement. Again, I wonder if they'll just look someone who's optionable given that Nico and Madrigal are gonna be on the roster, but neither of those guys plays 3B and having a complement like Duffy to Wisdom is probably a decent idea. Ideally, that guy would be a lefty, but Duffy is a roughly league average hitter without much of a clear platoon split (righty numbers vs. lefties take a LONG time to stabilize and aren't very informative, has solid results against righties).

I don’t expect this to happen but Wittenmeyer with some Stroman speculation .

I remember Theo and Jed really liked Stroman during his draft year. He seems like a guy Jed would target on like a 4 or 5 year deal.

Stroman as the new face of the rotation for the next few years would be great.
