Did doctors push for the lockdowns? Why in the hell did we listen to them instead of Trump, Hannity, Laura, or Tucker? The Four Horsemen of Idiocracy?

No idea why we would listen to doctors. Aren’t they the ones who keep saying to each our vegetables?

A Nebraska teenager is facing criminal charges alleging she aborted a fetus in violation of state law, after authorities obtained her Facebook messages using a search warrant. Seventeen-year-old Celeste Burgess, who is being tried as an adult along with her mother Jessica Burgess, is awaiting trial in Madison County District Court on charges that they broke a Nebraska law banning abortions after 20 weeks.

    murica! freedumb!

Let's put this into perspective. The GQP sheep are ok with these warrants, but they're not ok with a judge issued search warrant for the fbi to check the tangerine's home. Even though the head of the fbi was appointed by the tangerine after the theater of firing Comey.

These fools can't keep track of what they want. Pro life? Pro guns? Pro police? Defund the fbi? Search warrants? No search warrants?

There is literally no platform by the GQP. They don't campaign on actual policy. They only campaign on culture war panic attacks.

that isn't why people have been leaving CA the last few years. The cost of living, housing market, employment issues during covid, social/economic issues like homelessness, climate change causing massive wildfires, and as jobs have shifted to work from home in many cases, people are moving to cheaper areas to live.

Most the people leaving are low income and the lower portion of the middle class. It's become too expensive to live in CA. Most that leave earn less than $35k/year. Hell they lost a ton of residents to Mexico.

oh no, the blame for lack of OBGYN's accepting healthcare positions in red states is their laws around abortion. That is literally it.

Be careful with those links. I'm sure someone will respond with an askjeeves thread "proving" whatever nonsense they're spouting.

Seems the conservative states aren't the ideal place for healthcare workers to come to. Nice to see they are still trying to improve their crappy health care system with ideological policies. yet their base still clings to the republican party. Talking about abusive wife syndrome. You suffer neglect from the DNC and abusive repressive policies from the republicans.

I actually read up on this case and what happened is the mother/daughter claimed the daughter had a miscarriage in the shower and then buried the fetus at their house, which is odd. Clearly Nebraska believes they conducted an at-home abortion. Either way, not alerting authorities or medical professionals if it was a genuine miscarriage and just burying it in the backyard is all kinds of suspicious, not to mention bad.

Even with all the bonuses and **** that the red states offer, people still won't go there.

I totally agree. I wonder what made them feel they needed to take these bizarre measures?

if you were a medical student about to graduate with an OBGYN specialty, or a current OBGYN for that matter, would you go to a state that has now removed a number of services you are trained to provide, AND opens you up to lawsuits due to potentially ambiguous language around the laws?

That's a big ol' hell no.

Oh absolutely not. My point was that red states are making all these big bonus payments to people to come there and yet doctors, specifically OBGYNs, are choosing to avoid those states like the plague. Now cops are loving it. They get that bonus and they get rid of all that pesky red tape that says things like "don't shoot unarmed black people".

I think we shouldn't allow State rules to occur. You got to ensure the rights of even the stupid voters who voted these zealots into their state offices.

For sure. The bonuses work for truck drivers, who need the money right now. They don't work for the population of people that make great money like specialty doctors.
