2021 Chicago Cubs August IGT Thread

Seeing as the season is pretty much over, and that the IGTs haven't really been popping off, I've decided to just stick to a monthly IGT for August and September to end the season. I'll update the thread every day with the pitching matchups and where to watch, but unless you guys want me to keep doing it status quo, this seems like the way to do it for now.

    Tuesday, 8/3 @ 7:40 PM

CHC: Zach Davies (6-7, 4.39 ERA)

    vs.

COL: Kyle Freeland (1-6, 4.52 ERA)

TV: Marquee Sports Network/Radio: 670 The Score

    2016 World Series Champions!!!

I hope they move Ortega out of the leadoff spot. I'd hit Ortega and Wisdom maybe 3-4.

Also it's weird they dumped Sogard only to replace him with the equally horrendous Andrew Romine.

Hoyer and Ricketts were each on the Marquee pre-game doing interviews and PR damage control lol.

I guess this is why no one wanted Davies

It doesnít matter if the put the pitcher at leadoff now. Lineup just doesnít matter at all. I wouldnít worry a bit about that the rest of the year.

Doyers signed Cole Hamels. There goes the Cubs chances of winning the NL.

But yeah uh...Cubs are still playing baseball? Ok.

    Good tank win last night.

Rockies are one of those teams in front of the Cubs as far as draft order is concerned.

Getting swept here would be nice.

Also, can I vent about Nico Hoerner? If the guy wants to be a legit piece of the future he needs to go more than 75 AB's without getting hurt. ****ing dude is made of glass. I fear Madrigal is going to have the same issues.

Between the minors and majors I don't even think Nico has 500 AB's, thats how often he is hurt. You can't depend on that after a while.

Almost assured. There's a fight for that 5th spot that I'd like us to win though.
