Craig Kimbrel traded to the White Sox

Passan, Rosenthanl and a bunch of others have it.

The #Cubs will receive second baseman Nick Madrigal and pitcher Codi Heuer from the #WhiteSox for Craig Kimbrel.

I knew we would have to overpay to do business with the Cubs

I mean, I am the biggest Madrigal lover, being a fellow midge, but we have Cesar next year, and I feel like of all position players we could easily replace, it was Madrigal. Sucks, but this is a huge get. Heuer is so inconsistent, so it's whatever with him. Our BP is elite, and our starters are Elite. We have a good 2B, SS, 3B, 1B, C, OFers...

You guys got the best closer in baseball for 1.5 seasons for a one tool 2b.

Sox win this trade easy IMO.

Other than the Bluejays, I feel like we paid the most for what we got. There were other reliever options like Hudson that cost much less.
We paid a bunch for Hendriks, and yet of all the other teams that could have used a closer, we ended up offering the most to get Kimbrel.

Both, baseball and fan, which is all any of us are. And it ended up being true.

Not gonna lie, Hendriks hasn't made me feel at ease at all this year. This was a smart trade IMO. Madrigal, although a great contact hitter, is easily replaceable. Our FO might also like Yolbert Sanchez 2 years from now. It's not like he's a young spec, and he's up to AA and raking over there.
