Why wasn't Leeper called up also? I've seen enough of Adam ****ing Morgan or Trevor Megill.

He's not on the 40 man roster right now and the Cubs don't need to bring him up right away (the Cubs added multiple 40-man prospects over the last few days in Vizcaino, Canario and Deichmann, so the 40-man is a little more bloated than a few know I think). I expect he'll get a Cub-cup-of-coffee at some point. But there's no rush to win games right now (points to starting lineup) so I'd get used to Morgan, and Megill, and a few of of these other bums.

Leeper probably doesn't need to be pushed too hard with his injury history, too (part of the reason he was pushed to UDFA). I just want to see him be healthy, keep throwing strikes and ready for 2022 in the MLB. At this juncture, I'll gladly let bums like Adam Morgan and Trevor Megill suck up the innings after bad (insert pitcher here)'s starts while increasing our losing ability.

Just noticed Javy gonna be facing the Reds and Garrett tonight and tomorrow, be interesting to see how that goes if they face each other.

Cubs are done with Mets and dont face Yankees this season, KB and the Giants will be at WF Sept 10th

So with Tepera, Chafin, and Kimbrel all gone, who will be the Cubs closer, (not that there will be any need since they'll never have the lead in the ninth)?

Contreras needs to be extended. Him + Amaya will be good.

After the great debut last night, Id say make newcomer Manny Rodriguez the closer.
