Luis Severino's next step will be a rehab start in five days, Aaron Boone says.

    Ok.
    Gallo
    Rizzo
    Sevy

I must admit, this could get fun. If Gallo and Rizzo play to potential and Sevy returns to form?
I think they could make a run.
I said in the Tampa thread, I think with Judge's return, they get hot. Imagine if we wake up and Voit, Gio, Andujar, Medina, Junk and peraza are gone and the Yankees have JRam at third?

I'd certainly play Gio over Odor. I'd consider batting Gallo 2nd since he gets on base so much. Would be nice to have people on when Judge, Rizzo, and Stanton come up.

I'll bet the anals have Gallo batting 2nd
    1 DJ
    2 Gallo
    3 Judge
    4 Rizzo
    5 Stanton
6 Gio breaks up the K Twins
    7 Sanchez
    8 Torres
    9 Allen/ Gardy
    Maybe?

If Sevy comes back an returns to form and Kluber gets back, we could be really tough

Be interesting to see what happens with Voit, Andujar and Frazier since they really, really don't have a future here

Yes, he'll be the Odor in the corner of the clubhouse that you know is there.

I think this team takes off.

Rizzo is a good patient contact hitter. This will give him at least a 2 month energizer to perform at his best. Gallo is Gallo, high OBA with homers and Ks.

    Both are great fielders.

    Both are lefties.

It is not like we can just pick anybody we want like in the off-season with a bigger pool of players. We can only get what is currently available and the price has to be right with regards to $210 million. Rizzo and Gallo passed and we for them both…

    How can anyone complain?

We didn’t go over $210 million
And we didn’t pack it in and sell.
At least we are trying snd it gives Boone his last chance…..

Cashman is not going anywhere, he is a lifer, will retire as a Yankee.

Now of this was the off-season and this was the best we got then yes ***** and moan…

I’m not a fan of the NEW YORK YANKEES drawing lines in the sand with regards to payroll, they are a freaking money machine snd no tax, NONE WHATSOEVER, should ever stop them from getting a particular players thst they NEED.

But I know how Hal operates and he will go over if he feels the team is about there….

He knows they can get the WC so he wants players that keep the number under $210 million.

If we were in Boston’s or Rays shoes right now then he goes over. But too many question marks..so we got what we got snd hopefully they get hot down the stretch.
