My guess is Stanton sits and pinch hits for today. He may play in the field on Sat and then back to pinch hitting on Sunday…

    What a joke.

How much money are the Yankees left responsible with Stanton?

Pretty pathetic that at his age he is under these rules of not playing in the field snd allowed to jog to 1st base.

He is acting like he is a 40 yr old Pujols….ridiculous.

Now if he has an injury thst they are covering then ok but come on..

Stanton is owed about 190M between now and 2027. The Marlins are paying 30M of that which is what brings his AAV down to about 22m for us, which isn't that bad if he was actually hitting like he is capable of. Another obstacle in trading Stanton is if the Yanks trade Stanton the Marlins are no longer on the hook for that 30m. So the Yanks owe Stanton about 160M as long as they keep him, if they move him they, and whoever they traded him to would be responsible for the whole thing

That combined with his N/T clause, he's almost impossible to move

Jeter is laughing everyday…He stuck it to us!

And shame on Cashman for even getting hooked with his MVP season…..

He was never the correct guy for Yankee Stadium…

Roster construction by Cashman and the computer morons has burned this team….Now they had to trade for lefty hitters…

Even a 12 yr old could have told Cashman and the idiots that you pack your lineup with lefthanded hitters to take advantage of the short porch.

    So stupid on their part!

It is getting old blaming analytics for everything. One, the offense was arguably the best in the league over the previous three seasons. Is that analytics fault? Two, Cashman is just an idiot. Analytics argue against a lot of moves Cashman makes, stop blaming analytics for Cashman and Boone being dumbasses.

    Analytics has ruined baseball.

The eye test will always be better for evaluating players.

I love the numbers but you can’t let analytics print out your damn lineup. Or keep you from getting lefthanded hitters for Yankee Stadium’s 81 games. Stanton, Judge, DJ, Torres can hit homers to right field.

But all lineups need a balance….

The reason why they went more righthanded was because THE NUMBERS said the right handed hitters can do well in Yankee Stadium and hit like Derek Jeter by going the other way.

Getting Rizzo and Gallo will drastically improve the lineup…

Plus defense and how flexible Gallo is….Gardy should be cut immediately!

    Gallo LF
    Allen CF
    Judge RF

In the end I feel you need at least 3/4 lefty/ switch hitters in the Yankee lineups when most of the league throws right handed.

Yes Eagle, Cashman is an idiot for following analytics too much., Do you think Rizzo and Gallo were brought her because of analytics?

    No…

It was clearly obvious and some stupid computer didn’t have to tell you that.
