Is it too much to ask a Yankee team that has a payroll over $200 million to finish in 3rd place?

And is it too much to ask that same team to claim the 2nd Wild Card?

Folks, we are talking 3rd place.

Call me crazy but I think they get hot when Judge gets back.
The caveat, is theyy also need to play Allen and Florial instead of Gardner to do that

Don't you know Gardner got a hit the other day? Certainly he'll get another one in a few weeks. LOL

True. And clearly the best possible OF for the Yankees will be Judge, Gardner and Stanton

Yeah. Let that sink in people. Judge-Gardner-Stanton is a legit possibility
And a middle of the lineup with Judge-Stanton-Story-Sanchez-Voit

I said in the other thread that I am still pissed they offered the 4th highest prospect in the system for Story. They are trading a kid that is a year or so away and who makes better contact, is faster and plays as good defense for an of course, soon to be 29 year old swing and miss guy having a down year.

Now, Cleveland has said Ramirez is available. Why the **** isn't Cashman on that? Gio, Peraza and Medina to get the ball rolling.
That is the guy you use Peraza and Medina to get. He is 28 but he is under control through 2023.
He is a switch hitter who plays multiple positions. He also, does not strike out.
Like 1 out of every 7-8 times at the plate

That is the guy to get.

so am i , unreal. What else did the kid need to due to deserve more of a look? he was excellent IMO, yet you keep up Lamarre who has now future with this team

It really feels like that might have been a showcase for Flo and wouldn't be surprised if they traded him, SMH

that was horrible. How can somebody who is supposed to be as good of hitter as Stanton is make a swing like that. I honestly don't think this team cares about winning. You had a kid in Flo who was doing everything you could ask, yet they went with Gardy and LaMarre , who have zero future with this club..

I'm sure its something with the anals that said FLo was the right guy to send down, but use the eye test for once.
