    JV is the headliner.

Should be "Pelicans upgrade at centre".

New Orleans creates salary cap space for August that allows them to either match an offer sheet on Lonzo Ball, or have the cap space to pursue a significant free agent point guard, including Kyle Lowry and others. Pels liked Valanciunas as floor spacer at center over Adams, too.

Great move by Pelicans. Jonas is the best player in the deal. They shed a crazy amount of salary so they can target better fits for Zion and BI. Moving down from 10 to 17 isn’t that bad and the future first is the Lakers pick which shouldn’t hurt them too bad.

Ya this was for Pelicans to get Jval as a better fit for Zion I feel along with the cap space for their PG.

I think Adams should fit alright on Memphis too though and they get upgraded picks this draft and a future for it. Not bad. I saw Memphis may have interest in moving up in the draft from 10 again if they can as well.

Sent out $35 million in salary and only took back $14 million plus moved down 7 picks.

Kinda makes it seem the Pels already have a wink wink deal with a PG in place.

Eric Bledsoe, who New Orleans included in a trade package, is not expected to stay in Memphis, league sources tell YahooSports - Chris B Haynes

A base of Hill and Tolliver should do the trick, then Grizz can just cut both if they want.

JV > Adams. Why is he the headliner in the thread title?

Bledsoe won't be happy being a backup PG. But in reality, that's what he is.

Interesting little tidbit, Justice Winslow will be cut loose to make room for Bledsoe and Adams. Shouldn't matter much, as he has only played 27 games for them total since arriving February 6th 2020.
