I hope Rick Hahn is all over Scherzer .....Scherzer, Lynn, Rodon and Giollito would be tough to beat in the plaoffs....Put Cease and DK in the pen and you don't need to over pay for a journeymen bullpen arm now...

The Milwaukee Brewers are finalizing a deal to acquire infielder Eduardo Escobar from the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources tell ESPN.

Cooper Hummel, who has played at catcher, outfield and first base this season and is slashing .254/.435/.508 at AAA, is headed back to the Diamondbacks from Milwaukee in the Eduardo Escobar trade, sources tell ESPN.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Hopefully the Giants can make some moves at the last minute.

Schwarber was such a good sign for the Nats. Always love buying a piece cheap and being able to flip.

But yeah Hand, Hudson, Schawarber, along with Turner and Scherzer..

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not even done!

EDIT: supposedly Gomes may be gone too

They are getting some usable talent in return, but it does look like everyone on the roster is available. How about the clubhouse boy and a bag of balls for a backup catcher?
