    2021 NBA Draft Thread

    July 29th. 5 PM PT. ESPN/ABC.

The Lakers have the 21st pick currently.

Top needs: Shooters, rim protector, ball handler.

Do they keep the pick or use it in a trade for a veteran player?

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be linked to Oregon guard Chris Duarte with the 2021 NBA Draft just days away. The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie reported several NBA teams believe the Lakers have made a “promise” to Duarte heading into the draft.

I'll keep Corey Kispert if he falls to #22 or we fail to get anything of REAL value in return via trade. Just sayin coz Im almost certain that teams like GS pick 14 and ATL pick 20 get to him first though

    Curry
    Klay
    Kispert

    Trae
    Huerter
    Kispert

Lakers need players to trade for a strong upgrade at either the 1 or 2. This is going to be a pick for another team like perhaps NO or Thunder or whatever team the Lakers are going to get involved in a trade.
    Soon to be seen together!

But Lakers are looking for some players to play the summer league and the Dleague. Maybe to grab a fallen piece to buy in the second round.

Like what I've mentioned.. I just hope they trade a quality pick for REAL value in return via trade.

I'm not looking forward to another Steve Nash type of deal all over again. There's just something that makes me feel like LBJ is gona really love playing with a player like Kispert.

Here’s the latest buzz, via ESPN’s Jonathan Givony:

“With a big group of combo/scoring guards bunched together in the early 20s through early 30s, NBA executives say the Lakers have explored the option of moving down a few slots from the No. 22 pick while acquiring one or more second round picks.”

Trading to Washington and a certain player in return for a couple of 2nd round picks? Obviously I'm simplifying the trade but that could happen.
