In that last inning, the bunt by Torres was fantastic. If they shift on him, he needs to use that skill more.
Lamar? Damn. That is some crazy clutch hitting.

Even Stanton, as Day mentioned, hit to the situation.

This team is fun to watch.

How many steals in the last two games? 4? How many bunts? 2 or 3?
This beats the hell out of station to station.

Try watching the whole game. They didn't lose. What's wrong with you?

The Yankees already picked up his option. That was Cashman's worst move of the off-season. Britton had a unique clause in his contract that the Yankees had to pick up his $14 million option for next year one year early or he becomes a free agent. Obviously, in retrospect, they should have declined the option and saved $13 million this year (to use on Brantley r elsewhere) and $14 million next year. instead, Britton's season has been a loss and we are obligated to keep him again next year. The only ay out of it, is for him to have a good game or two and for us to trade him prior to the deadline.

The one thing about that, that could work to their advantage is that he's in a contract year and will want to perform well to get a new deal. So at least there will be some motivation for him

Thanks for clarifying that for us.

At the time when they picked up Brits option i didn't have a huge problem with it. In retrospect I would have much rather have seen that money go to Brantley

I'd be a huge fan of the idea of trading Brit by the deadline, but to do that he's going to have to have a couple games where he look like himself. If he keeps looking like he has his last 2 outings, no one will take him for us.

Even if Brit were able to get back to normal, with the emergence of, Loaisiga and the other BP arms we have coming IMO, that 14M could be used much better
