Why are perennial losers and chokers ranked over Isiah Thomas?

Not everyone ranks them higher in all-time PGs, but some do. Watching these Finals, and their ENTIRE careers, its confirmed for me easily.

    Thomas > CP3/Nash/Stockton/Robertson

He could put his team on his back and showed an insane amount of grit and toughness, and a higher level of leadership than the others when it really mattered. No ranking should have either of those guys ahead.

    Discuss.

All-Time rankings are a joke. No matter how much one tries not to, but our own personal bias's, feelings affect our rankings.

Alot of writers didn't like IT the person nor the "Bad Boys Pistons", I'm sure that plays a big part of why IT is ranked lower to some of the guys on your list.

He was an ******* and played for a team whose style made is very difficult to put up great stats.

Thomas can say heís beat Jordan, Magic, and Bird. Who else can say that?

Isiah Thomas is the 2nd best pg of all time imo.

To the grit part, CP3 is playing with a bumb shoulder, 2 bum wrists, a bum ankle, and just had covid.

I just didn't like how the dude quit when the going got tough. Instead of trying to work it out with the Pistons or even go to another team, he just hung it up.

Idk where he ranks all time but the bad boys did have a solid run.

And Stockton beat Barkley, Dream, Drexler, Robinson, Duncan, Kobe, and Shaq in the same season.....who else can say that? Context matters if you make a statement like that.

Thomas never beat any of those guys in their prime.

He tore his Achilles. Iím not sure how anyone can complain about ITís grit. Chris Paul is a puss compared next to him..

Everyone is a puss compared to their DG, what CP3 is doing shouldn't be watered down because IT played on a rolled ankle.

Well, Kobe and Duncan werenít even in the league when Thomas was. Lol! Other than Barkley and Shaq, the rest of those guys played in the west so he wouldnít have had the chance to beat them unless they showed up in the finals.

And he did beat Drexler in the Finals..

I think Magic won MVP there first title year and Jordan did there second.
Heís underrated bc he crossed Jordan and played for the unmarketable stat suppressing bad boys. Ewing is underrated for similar reasons imo

I love the bad boy pistons, but that team was a better team than teams of the other PGs on that list. Them not winning a title is more a team issue than a player issue. That said, I don't rate CP3 that high either.

Stockton is the 2nd best PG of all time.
