    ok this battle has been going on ever since the Kyle Busch wreck.... NC maybe you can answer this. Do you know if the teams have backup cars a the track with them yesterday?

    I would say I am 99% sure they didn't. A big part of the reason for no practice/qualifying at most races this year is so teams don't have to prepare a backup car. Since cars at these races aren't hitting the track until the pace laps for the race, there is no reason to have a backup car.

    thats what im saying too, once the cars hit the track for the pace laps they cant go to a backup and since those are going to be the first laps on the car theres no point in having a backup.... I mean I know theres tech inspection and theres always a possibility that the car fails tech, but unless its something that a team is blatantly trying to cheat and get away with, it would fail for something minor that the team could fix.
