I mean, if all he was doing was increasing a 35+ FV from the Sox system, he probably wasn't adding anything to Bryant or Kimbrel. Or anyone.

Is what it is. Maybe they like Horn. He throws 96 from the left side. That's a tool to work within. Maybe they fix things mechanically and he's a project win. I don't think this is super awful. Just..what you get from MR's on expiring deals teams dont see as impact.

I did not understand the need for Gallo, when Adam Frazer would have been a better fit for the Yankees and I don't understand Schwarber, then that they are "names."
    Screw sabermetics.

They were letting him go via FA last season and only brought him back cause he was still available..lol..

MLB.com has Bailey Horn ranked #23 Sox prospect, FWIW.

Would have thought they might get a tad more than that. Maybe a top 15-20 guy at least.

He seems to be appropriately named.

I expect a similar return for Davies if he's traded. Some 35+ FV prospect with a single tool. But hey, get something when you can.

Well, we did owe the Sox one for the Quintana trade.

Wasn't given away...I mean Horne was a 5th Rd pick last year and they gave him their 3rd largest bonus and the development of pitchers for the most part as well all know takes longer. Tepera was just signed as an afterthought because no one else wanted him. Seems like a good return.

They just think they can outslug everybody every time. They think Gallo is going to step in and hit 50 bombs just because of a short porch in right… lol

The Cubs should not be helping the Sox win a championship. You telling me they couldn’t get a 35 guy elsewhere? Every team wants a BP arm lol

Only if they were going to get something REAL back could I see it. Rick Hahn is probably the best GM in the game, just block his number already

Gallo gets on base well and is a pretty good fielder. He's more than just a bopper.
