    A's @ Yankees

    Fri, Jun 18 • 7:05 PM EDT
    At Yankee Stadium

    A's
    James Kaprielian
    RHP
    3-1, 2.51 ERA, 35 SO
Kaprielian is off to a strong start with a 2.51 ERA through his first six big league starts. The rookie has been particularly tough against right-handed batters, holding them to a .131 batting average.

    VS

    Yankees
    Jameson Taillon
    RHP
    1-4, 5.74 ERA, 58 SO
Taillon had a forgettable start Saturday against the Phillies, as he recorded only one out while allowing four runs on five hits. He will look to put that in the rear-view mirror in his first career start against the A's.

    Sat, Jun 19 • 1:05 PM EDT
    At Yankee Stadium

    A's
    Chris Bassitt
    RHP
    7-2, 3.43 ERA, 91 SO
Bassitt has allowed four runs or fewer in each of his past 25 starts over the past two years. This marks the longest such streak by an A's starter since Dave Hamilton's 25-start streak from May 12, 1974-June 15, 1979.

    VS

    Yankees
    Domingo German
    RHP
    4-4, 3.88 ERA, 57 SO
Germán's recent run of success was halted by the Phillies on Sunday, as he took his first loss since May 27 after giving up seven runs on 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings. He is 0-1 with a 6.05 ERA in four career starts vs. the A's.

    Sun, Jun 20 • 1:05 PM EDT
    At Yankee Stadium

    A's
    Sean Manaea
    LHP
    6-2, 2.99 ERA, 78 SO
Manaea has allowed one run or fewer in nine of his 14 starts this season. In two career starts at Yankee Stadium, the left-hander is 1-0 and has not allowed a run in 12 innings pitched.

    VS
    Jordan Montgomery
    LHP
    3-1, 4.20 ERA, 69 SO
Montgomery has allowed three or fewer runs in three of his last four outings since a remarkable seven-inning, 11-K display on May 21 against the White Sox. He'll look to record his second win of the month for the first time this season.

Torres appears to have been removed from the game due to lower back tightness.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

We should have kept Kap..I knew that was going to be the one that bit us in the behind.

So who did we get back in return for Kap?

    Where is he today?

It is really pathetic that starting pitchers can’t even go 5 innings anymore....

If Taillon can’t do then trade him and find somebody else that can!

When did I say he wasn't playing tonight?

    Please enlighten me.

He was pulled from yesterday's game with back tightness from the odd double play.

Never once did I say he wouldn't be in tonight's line up.

The post you quoted was from 19 hours ago. Which I put here because it was after the other game had already ended.

Offense still stinks! Only score runs via home run.

We need a more athletic team!
