I see Jason Kidd getting the Dallas gig. He has the history there.

He just has to think of Luka as his wife’s face and he’ll connect real, real well.

I feel ya but he did take a bad franchise and get them a title (even if they probably shoulda had more). The owners are often the problem but not much you can do about that.

This, to me, is the biggest departure of this whole saga because I thought his job was solid. Considering that he can get a job wherever he wants whenever he wants now, I don't buy the 'just wanted to rest'. I think this is the crack of insight that something is going on behind the scenes.

For sure. There is report that he and Luka have tension.

Doubtful. He did not leave on good terms when he left Dallas the second time. Also he’s not widely considered to be a great HC candidate.

The Mavs will hire their GM first and then that person hire the coach. Because of that there is no way to tell who they will hire as their next HC.

Initially I didn’t think Kidd would be an option but with Cuban bringing in Dirk to help find a GM and then coach I think Kidd could really be an option. Dirk and Kidd are close friends.

Ready for a kickass offense? Let's dribble the ball in place for 20 seconds that'll wear them down and then with 4 seconds left lets either dive the ball or throw up some miracle impressive shot! That's exactly the offense we need!

Screw the Suns 7 seconds or less we need JJ dribbling the ball 20 seconds or more offense!

Carlisle is a good coach, so no one could really fault the choice. If they would be concerned about the optics maybe Jerry Stackhouse would be a good choice.
