Eloy Jimenez Cleared for Baseball Activity

This is huge news and not sure if everyone has seen it. Looks like if all goes as planned, Eloy could be back by August 1st.

Eloy Jiménez has been medically cleared to resume baseball activities at the White Sox complex in AZ. This phase of the rehabilitation process is estimated to take a minimum of 4 weeks, after which Eloy could be cleared for a rehabilitation assignment with a Sox affiliate.
There remains no set timetable for Jiménez’ return to the major league club.

Still going to be a while, hopeful for end of July/early August. But man do we need his bat.

Great news. Hopefully we hear the same for Robert soon. We need both guys (and probably Madrigal too) if we want a shot at the title this year.

Of the 3, Robert is the one I feel we need the most, but any of the 3 will be a huge help at this point.

Nick is officially out for season after undergoing a successful surgery. We really cannot afford any more injuries if we seriously want to compete in the postseason.

We aren't the only contender dealing with heavy blows though. Rays just lost Glasnow to a partial torn UCL

Huge losses for both teams. Although Madrigal will be easier to replace than Glasnow.

Yeah there is no replacing him. They don't really rely on star power though so they'll find a way to survive I'm sure.

Yeah, I should have amended my post to say, “but if there is a team that will find a way, it is TB”.

Can you imagine them having Hawk as their broadcaster. It would be non-stop talk about that TWTW.

When Eloy comes back at least for this season it's strictly as a DH, right?

There is a wide open DH spot for him, now that Mercedez has soiled his sheets and can’t get out of the bed.

He might still have a little trade value when we get Eloy back. Can't imagine we have room for Yermin when everyone is back.

    OF
    Vaughn/Robert/Engel/Eaton/Hamilton

    IF
    Moncada/Anderson/Mendick/Abreu/Leury/Lamb

    C
    Grandal/Collins

    DH
    Eloy

That's 1 too many as it is. I want Hamilton on the roster for pinch running and late game defensive subs. Imagine an OF of Hamilton/Robert/Engel when we have leads late!

Maybe if we trade for Frazier, we send out Eaton and Mendick with a couple specs to open a spot.
