Thatís part of my point. Heís only been in the league for 3 years and the mavs tried to make a big trade to get him a co-star. People act like heís been there for a decade and the team has failed to put talent around him. I think theyíre just getting started with building a contender really. The KP trade just didnít work out.

I just think it's more so Luka could be gone in 2 seasons if they don't play their cards right.

Obviously a youngster will never forego a max extension but I'm speaking on technicalities.

Exactly. Luka is still about 5 years away from the start of his prime years. With age come maturity. The Mavs arenít going to trade him and he and the team will be fine.

Sounds like this Bob cat may be around next season, if so... Big oof.

"Voulgarisí contract expires this summer, and his continued employment with the team remains uncertain. When asked about the matter Wednesday evening,*Cuban told The Athletic he ďwonít talk about individual deals. Never do.Ē But itís expected any continued role would be the same he has held."

I hope he is! Give Finley a far shot without being micromanaged and contradicted.

If Cuban is wise, that will be the case. Otherwise I'm not so sure Luka will wanna be there long term.

Yes. Why wouldn't he? It's not as if Dallas doesn't have a history of this sort of stuff from what I remember
