What does JD Davis and Smith get us in trade. Imo, we need a CF and starting pitcher. Iíd like to see McNeil at 3rd and Gilly at 2nd

Actually, I forgot Nimmo existed. Yes, he can obviously be my starting LF.

He is not to start at CF, though. That's over.

O please. McNeill is a legit all-star. Guillorme is a nice role player.

Theyíre winning with outstanding pitching backed up by great defense and a reliable pen - and just enough offense.

Even when some of the other guys are healthy Iíd be reticent to go back to the original starting squad which was atrocious defensively.

This is how a team should be constructed when itís foundation is a powerhouse pitching staff.

Conforto and Nimmo - yes. McNeil and Davis? Rotate them in but donít hand them jobs again.

I think we'll see a lot of rotating and playing of the hot hand. I was impressed that they increased Nido's role when he was hot, at the expense of a major off-season signing. Our bench will be deep and some of the guys on the bench, if they have options, will be in the wings at AAA.

I want a starter more than anything else. Problem is a lot of contending teams do, too, and it will likely take an overpay at this point.

Lucchesi's start today is huge for him and for how the team decides to proceed with starters for the next month.
