I tried telling eagle fans here that the first round pick was more likely not to happen.
    Anyways itís still early.

Sounds like a lisfranc. Freak injury that will either heal in a couple months or will require season ending surgery.

    Carson Wentz: The QBs, QB

Because the last two seasons were any indication this would happen? He hasnít had an injury thatís held him out for games since 2018.

Regardless, this stinks. Worst case scenario is probably going to happen where Colts make the playoffs and Carson plays under 70%. Going to be the latter half of the 2nd round now.

If Carson is out for the year, I'd happily give up a 5th for him.

From a gambling perspective if you bet Wentz would get hurt you wouldnít make too much money. The betting sites had him as the highest probability of getting hurt.

Can you imagine if Wentz have to sit and watch Foles lead the Colts to the playoffs.....again

Looks like Carson Wentz opt to not have surgery on his foot but instead just rely on rest and rehab hoping he will be ready by week 1. As an Eagles fan I want him to play 75% of the snaps but I'm just not sure if this is the right decision for both Carson and the Colts.

Considering he relies so much on mobility this is absolutely not the best course of action.

I've seen this movie before, it's called Cam Newton 2019. If Wentz plays he's doing to reinjure and then have the season ending surgery. The difference is Ron Rivera was always desperate and in need of Cam to save his sorry *** teams whereas Reich can probably make playoffs with any QB and has an incentive (1st rounder turns to a 2nd) to not rush Wentz in.

Can't be upset about this. Get that surgery, retain that 1st round pick. Use the rest of the season as an evaluation. Sucks the injury happened, but could be a blessing in disguise to keep that 1st.

Nah, there's no scenario that makes sense to bring him back early. If you're looking good the first 3 weeks there's no reason to rush, if you're looking bad the first 3 weeks, there's no reason to kill your 1st rounder. I bet they bring him back after game 5, which leaves a very small chance of him hitting the 70% snaps + playoffs incentive to turn it into a 1st, but I bet the Colts make sure he hits less than 70% in that scenario.

If I'm the Colts, I pull Wentz every single time a game is decided early, I run several wildcat plays per game, and if the last week of the season isn't do-or-die, I rest him. The snap% structure of that trade was really dumb and can be easily avoided even if Wentz doesn't miss a ton of time.
