[NBA all the way]

I was wondering what the Cavs are planning to do.

If they pick Mobley that kinda creates a pickle with Jarret Allen.

If they pick Suggs they get another guard.

I think Houston takes Green so it’ll be interesting to see if the Cavs go after someone like Kuminga

If I were them I take Suggs or Green (if Houston take Mobley) then trade Sexton, be he needs to be paid.

Like VR said, Sexton would be a great 6th man/spark off the bench or even a good 3rd option. He just doesn't facilitate he just scores the ball, he's undersized too.

Cavs have larger contracts in Prince and Nance that aren't horrible, Nance probably still has pretty high value. Cedi and Love aren't good value but depending on the deal and how many teams the Cavs could turn the thing around.

Or they keep everyone and start Garland, Sexton, Okoro, and Suggs/Green with Allen and just continue to be trash lol

I saw a Secton, Prince, Nance, 2022 pick for Simmons suggestion. Opens up the Cavs to S&T Allen then.

Of course constantly brought up is the Klutch/Rich Paul angle of they won’t want Simmons traded there.

If there’s no trade clause it shouldn’t matter where Klutch wants their client. But I get that there are politics involved. These agents have to much power.

Houston’s gonna take Green. We would be stupid not too honestly. That leaves Mobley or Suggs for the Cavs I’m really hoping they take Mobley so that Suggs falls to the Raptors. Cavs are the wild card imo

The biggest Klutch issue is not that they have max players but rather they have so many role players and one wrong move means you could be ****ed in getting them.

To be fair, Kyrie is pretty overrated and has really only been the #2 on one championship squad, and that squad happened to aslo contain a guy who some argue is the GOAT and that most reasonable people say is a top 2 or 3 guy at worst of all time. Kyrie is also partially a best case scenario for himself too. His ability to finish is quite insane.

But back to sexton, the whole point is if he's everything you're selling him as, why are you dealing him? A 22yr old with room to grow to potentially be a decent number 2 and your team is looking to deal him because you don't want to pay him. Doesn't that raise eyebrows.

Like I said, he's a relatively inefficient chucker that allegedly teammates don't want to play with because he isn't a good or even all that willing oasser, despite his assist numbers. Again, if he was this really high upside guy, why are you dealing him?

As NBA said, we've (Cavs fans) been debating amongst ourselves for awhile how to handle SexLand and if we should move on from one or the other. Garland starting showing promise later and his ceiling seems to be a bit higher in terms of running the offense. We may be getting yet another guard in the draft, and don't forget we drafted 6"5 Isaac Okoro last year who is more of a SG/SF tweener.

Sexton's gonna be a RFA next year and he'll demand some money. At this point we just might be better off moving on from him.

He has upside in terms of potentially being a good #2 or #3 option but he'll likely never be a #1 option and we can't be paying a #2/3 dude as our #1 guy. But a better team could find some value in that if he's the missing piece for them.

I see Memphis as a good trade partner. Sexton would be a good piece beside Morant, and the Grizzlies have some assets they can move + cap space. They don’t have any bad contracts, JV is their highest paid player @ $14 mill. And they have Justice Winslow coming off the books unless they take up on his $13 mill team option. Point is they could afford to pay Sexton as well.

Shoot they could draft Mobley then too.

Garland (Klutch sports client)/Simmons/whoever/Love/Mobley wouldn't be terrible until they could move off Love next season for neutral value as an expiring. Still would have young pieces in Okoro/Windler/Wade/Hartenstein (if re-signed) off the bench too.
