Not really. Green was doing well on Bogdonovic after the change in assignments. With Boggy slowed down, we could have put Curry on him and used Green on Huerter. Green also gives a better 3 point shot. I knew people were gonna hate on Green, but at this point I do think he's become a touch underrated because, as proven, you can do much worse out of your 5th starter.

Doc Rivers teams have been eliminated from the playoffs 11 times in which they held a series lead (at any point).

No other coach in NBA history has lost more than 8 such series.
I do want to give the shoutout to Huerter too. He came up big when his team needed it. If you asked me who's most important at the start of the series then I would have put him like 13th-15th on that list. Kudos to McMillin for seeing the Hill was hurting them and Huerter brough just enough defense that his offense was a matchup nightmare for us; partially because Doc insisted on playing Korkcrap in there instead of Thybulle or Maxey. And even though I do think there's a few Hawks players that got passes for not being great, they came up in big moments the way ours didn't. Gallo and Collins were quite overrated for their series performances, but they did what they needed to when they needed to.

Also underrated heel of this whole story:
    Elton Brand

Traded away all the shooting that worked around Simmons. Traded away Bridges for Smith. Traded Cov and Saric for Butler. Traded a bunch of good fits for Harris. Picked Brett Brown over Butler (this is getting really misattributed to Simmons over Butler). Gave Harris a max without finding out what the market was. Only got JRich for Butler in a S&T.

Ironically Simmons and Embiid might have been saving Brand from being the worst GM in the league.

Their defense is absolutely pathetic and it starts with their guards. Nurk is the only one that is competent. And yes I am including Cov, watched him enough with him being in the division. He is very average defensively.

Simmons, Thybulle, and 2 1sts for Lowry and Siakam.

I like Green. He is just very up and down. Based on your analogy I would think Thybulle is already the better player though. Green, Thybulle,, Koz adjustments are very marginal. The one adjustment that I think we can would have made a difference is sitting Simmons. The rest seems like guess work and depends on who plays well

Only if Harris can be moved.

I like how you have been moving Curry with him bc that is probably what it takes.

It would also depend on Lowry's contract.

Being hard capped would kinda suck too.

Also, 2 firsts seems steep kinda but I understand neither guy can shoot.

In this case I keep Harris and Curry. Keep Hill too. Start Lowry, Curry, Harris, Siakam, Embiid. First sub is Maxey and Hill for Embiid and Curry. So Maxey, Lowry, Hill, Harris, Siakam lineup.

Was saric really a shooter? dude was overrated as hell. COv was a great 3 and D guy but outside of that the reason butler left wasnt brand... It was because Brett was ben simmons ***** boy and butler was sick of this **** and brett couldnt control butler to help his ***** boy ben... Imagine if what happened tonight happened with butler on this team? seriously man... EB is trash but it all comes back to brett brown and ben simmons... Brett brown bent over backwards for ben and doc did as well until this series midway through. It all comes back to 1 issue.... a pg that dont/wont/cant and never shoot a basketball in the sport of basketball... its like playing soccer without legs/feet

Some people say Joel holds Ben back but imagine Ben trying to run a half-court offense without Joel. Let him play with Bogs, Collins, Clint, Collins, and Hunter. How many buckets would they get outside of the transition? What would they do, just clear out for Bogs? He can be valuable but he is Draymond. He kind of needs to be hidden in the half-court.
