Realistically they can probably do one more shakeup that maybe you progress to over the next two seasons that makes or breaks you with keeping Embiid. I’d say they’re down to their last strike.
    Well said.

You need play making guards in this league. I don’t think Philly realizes how lucky they have it with Joel making it almost unneeded for them. I also don’t think they realize how deadly a play making guard that can shoot could be in screen roll with Joel. Young causes havoc with Collins and Cappella as his rollers and gets the other guys wide open 3s when they start tagging the roller.

Philly definitely would be better served increasing Thybulle role and bringing in a traditional play making guard with a jump shot.

Great game for Gallo btw. I think he missed his first 4 and they weren’t close. I’m impressed with how he turned it around on the big stage and was a major difference maker

Embiid, Tobi, and Curry gonna have to have huge scoring nights. Gonna need a lot of defense from Embiid, Thybulle, and Hill.

Even with all that, they're gonna need Shake, Maxey, or someone else to be an X factor to pitch in some extra points. It also wouldn't hurt if someone else steps up to add some clamps on the perimeter.
    Damn they did lol

Full quote from Joel Embiid: "I mean, I'll be honest. I thought the turning point was when we — I don't know how to say it — but I thought the turning point was just we had an open shot and we made one free throw and we missed the other and then they came down and scored...

his reaction when it happened live said it all... get ben the hell out of here

Good, I'm glad him and Doc piled on, the kid has his priorities backwards. But shoot, life of the guaranteed NBA contract.

Personally, I think he just needs to get away from Embiid. But he has a huge contract for a non-scorer.

You need to have a strong offensive team to consider it. So Warriors for Wiggins and a pick?
Nets for an unsigned Dinwiddie and maybe Joe Harris?

I could see maybe Timberwolves' Rubio and Beasley.

Could you imagine the 2 non shooters in Simmons and Dray paired up with the splash brothers, that would be hilarious.

Atlanta is really the only big surprise. But after their off-season moves it was clear they were going to be good. Excellent work from their front office.

A Bucks/Clippers finals wouldn't be beyond belief. A Hawks/Suns final would be fun, though the league would hate it.

Harris was pretty awful too. What is it with Harrises in the playoffs?

They get a good scoring forward in the draft and I don't think it would be very funny at all.

Nope because we never forgotten how incompetent he was as our coach before Doc who guide us to the top seed of the Eastern conference. If we fired him, he would immediately get another coaching job in the NBA. Much rather have Doc than D'Antoni, Carlisle or the current coach of the Bucks. We only lost cause of one player who I wanted to trade since the off-season

Give Morey time to work, he moved Horford and Richardson for Curry and Green, plus got Hill for scraps.

Let the Morey magic unfold and he'll get pieces that fit better around the franchise cornerstone Embiid.

Zach Lowe proposed a package around C.J. McCollum for Ben Simmons. A season ago it would have been Simmons for Damian Lillard.
I like the McCollum fit in Philly, although they probably couldn't start him and Curry to get murdered on defense. Something needs to be included with McCollum, but I don't think much. Maybe a small forward.

Why in the world would Portland do that?
