Anyone else getting sick of all the Laker News?

I go to ESPN on the NBA section Lakers Talk go to the Main Page on Here Lakers talk. I get it they lost in the first round and will not repeat but do we really need 24/7 of Lakers this and Lakers that.

That is what sells, they are the cowboys of the NBA, except they have actually won something recently.

Blame it on LeGm. He'll be holding his exit interviews and making team trade demands shortly.

And theyíre only the biggest franchise in the league that also has one of the greatest players of all time in any sport that finally broke his Finals streak (minus the injury year). Yeah, letís talk about Terry Stotts, everyone.

This. It's WAY too early for this thread. If it's the middle of the Finals or a week after the draft and we're still getting front page stories on the Lakers every other day, OK. They got bounced yesterday. They're the league's most popular franchise with the league's most popular player.

your talking about the NBA's 1st or 2nd cash cow franchise and the NBA's 1st cash cow player in Lebron both losing the 1st round in kinda embarrassing fashion. The suns and Nuggets can get more attention when they play their next series. I don't know how this shocks you now.

Well you have already been told the reason. They have the most popular player and they are the most popular team.

If Lebron was on the Knicks it would be the same.

Coming off a championship defense too. That alone is going to have the media on them. Of course them losing in the first round is going to draw attention too because it isn't often the defending champ loses round 1.
