    This is similar to the Lakers and Clippers...the Knicks are the Lakers of New York and the Nets are the Clippers of New York...if you could compare it. New York will always be a Knicks town even if the Nets win the title.

    Not possible under the current generation of fans. Maybe in 60-80 years from now if they have sustained success it may come to be like the Cubs and White Sox which both have a good fan base and some spillover between both sides of the coin.

    But for the tone being the Nets are limited to Brooklyn and fans who simply Luke Durant, Irving, or Harden.

    Nets are my second favorite team since I'm from NJ and NYC but at the same time its hard to root for them due to their stars' jagoff personalities LOL. A shame they never could win when they rosters with fun players like Kidd, Carter, Gill, Kittles, Jayson Williams, Jefferson, Scalabrine, Mutombo, Kenyon, Mourning, etc.
