GT#40 San Antonio Spurs (33-36) @ Más Resucitado Knicks (38-31): New York Forever!

To the Five Boroughs: The Knicks have returned to the Playoffs. *drops mic*

    Random Thoughts:

    1. Thank you, coach Tom Thibodeau: When most coaches would have said, no thanks. Thibs came back to the city, the fans, and the franchise which influenced so much of his philosophies. Inherited the mess, which was David Fizdale's horrific roster. Cap-ologist Brock Aller had to have his arm broken by Team President Leon Rose to trade for Derrick Rose (no relation). Yet through it all, Thibs created a work ethic, physical conditioning, and a mentality. Confidence: Get it through your head.

    2. Thank you, Julius Randle: After the disaster that was the Team President Steve Mills and GM Scott Perry with coach David Fizdale, Julius Randle could have requested a trade. Instead he stayed. I'm so grateful that he did. Randle has not only evolved into a superstar (minutes eater, scorer, passer) but also a leader in the locker room.

    3. Thank you, RJ Barrett: Enduring a rookie season where he was given very little direction. RJ could have thrown a hissy fit if he didn't get what he wanted from management or coaching staff. Instead he did the work. The four Ps: Patience, persistence, positivity, and pay off.

    4. Thank you, Derrick Rose: After his first stint in New York, I wouldn't have blamed DR if he didn't want to come back. Detroit is a mere 4 hrs from his home/heart in Chicago. He can ride out the remainder of his contract and possibly go back to the Bulls. He heeded the call of his coach, Thibs. Derrick Rose has accepted his role as a back up point guard but also as a mentor in the locker room. He has a supportive personality.

    5. Thank you, Knick fans: This city has been through so much. We were all looking for something. Sports is a release. Enjoy.

Knicks will finish strong and get the 4th seed!

Reggie Bullock, Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley are available tonight but Derrick Rose (sprained left ankle) is out against San Antonio. Interest choices for Thibs as Payton playing just 14 minutes a night recently.
